Meet Dr. Kane

Rachel Kane, O.D., is an optometrist at Alabama Vision Center, serving patients in Huntsville, AL. Dr. Kane is passionate about corneal disease, refractive and cataract surgery consultations, and dry eye disease.

Dr. Kane is a graduate of Mississippi State University and Southern College of Optometry. She was drawn to optometry as a career that helps those in need. After shadowing several ODs during completion of her undergraduate, she realized how impactful optometry can be.

With her passion and commitment to helping those in need, whether for relief of dry eye or consultation for cataract surgery, Dr. Kane finds fulfillment in providing the best possible treatment for her patients and continuing to learn innovative techniques for providing care.

She has become involved in the North AL Optometric Association and is pursuing a fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry.

When not working, Dr. Kane values her time spent with family and friends. She enjoys reading, yoga, tennis, and traveling throughout the state she now calls “ home”. Dr. Kane looks forward to serving the patients who visit Alabama Vision Center in Huntsville, AL.
