David Lewis, MD

David Lewis, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery, astigmatism management, medical and minimally invasive surgical management of glaucoma, diabetic eye exams, oculoplastic procedures, including cosmetic eyelid surgery, and pediatric ophthalmology including strabismus surgery, dry eye treatment, treatment of ocular trauma and emergencies in Birmingham, AL at Alabama Vision Center. Dr. Lewis has served his hometown and northeast Alabama since 2006.

Since 2014, Dr. Lewis has been a Medical Review Committee Member at The Surgery Center, Oxford, AL and since 2010 he has served as a clinical instructor at Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, Anniston Campus.

Dr. Lewis enjoys helping patients preserve and improve their vision. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and virtually anything outdoors.
