The Alabama Vision Center is conveniently located at 790 Montclair Road in Birmingham, Alabama on the campus of Trinity Hospital (formerly Baptist Montclair Hospital). We have created a Center of Excellence for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, widely regarded as the premier facility for comprehensive vision correction procedures such as iLASIK: the next generation in laser vision correction. iLASIK is a significant improvement over traditional LASIK and is a blade-free all laser custom LASIK procedure with Intralase. For patients who are not ideal LASIK candidates we offer excellent alternative procedures such as PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy), ASA (Advanced Surface Ablation) and EpiLASIK. We were the first in Alabama to perform Refractive Lens Exchange (Clear Lens Extraction) with ReSTORTM, ReZoomTM and CrystalensTM. We also offer Visian ICLTM and Verisyse Phakic Lenses (implantable contact lenses), Cataract Surgery with traditional and advanced Multifocal Lenses, and Advanced Corneal Transplantation (DSAEK). Dr. Kloess is a Board Certified, Fellowship-trained Cornea Specialist and Eye Surgeon. He received his training from Emory University School of Medicine, a leading institution in the field of laser refractive surgery. He is the founder and Medical Director of the Alabama Vision Center, a highly respected surgical center offering state of the art refractive procedures. Dr. Velazquez is a Board Certified, Fellowship-trained Cornea Specialist and Eye Surgeon. He received his training from Duke University, a renown institution for vision correction surgery.
